In an announcement that would make more sense if it was, say, 2006, American Idol has revealed that it will be allowing for the submission of online videos via MySpace (?!) for the upcoming tenth season. From now through October 6, individuals between the ages of 15 to 28 can upload their auditions in videos limited to 40 seconds in length. Aspiring Kelly Clarksons and Adam Lamberts will have to pick their song from a posted list (including “Ain’t No Sunshine” and “Copacabana’), and only one submission is permitted per person. [MTV]
