Manohla’s Back!

Manohla Dargis, the New York Times film critic most likely to unleash totally deserving, totally devastating critical beatdowns on middling films (and the movie business), has been MIA since June 20, leaving colleagues A.O. Scott and Stephen Holden to dispense with Eat, Pray, Love and a particularly dreadful summer season without her. Happily, she returns from leave today, going fairly easy on Joaquin Phoenix's I'm Still Here. We're now more or less counting down the minutes until she gets to writing about Black Swan. Welcome back. [NYT]
