Michael Caine has written a few memoirs and trivia books, but his first foray into fiction back in 2001 didn’t go so well. “I had this plot where terrorists fly a plane into a London skyscraper,” he told BBC Radio this week. “Then they did it in real life. I was stunned by that, so I stopped writing.” Not that the actor has been completely dissuaded: After he finishes Christopher Nolan’s next Batman movie, he says he’ll begin a new novel with the same subject matter. “[It will be] a thriller about terrorism — the sort of thing I read all the time.
