MTV just ordered 12 episodes of Death Valley, a horror-comedy about the Undead Task Force in LA and it’s cases taking down zombies, vampires and werewolves. The cast will include Caity Lotz (who plays Stephanie, Don Draper’s young friend from Berkeley, on Mad Men), Tania Raymonde (who played Alex Rousseau on Lost) and Charlie Sanders (who most recently was in Funny or Die’s The Big Dog short film). The pilot was directed by Eric Appel from Funny or Die, who directed Sanders in The Big Dog.
While MTV dabbles in comedy, they don’t pick up a ton of straight-up scripted comedy shows, so it’s great to see them ordering up a full season of something that sounds as crazy as this.
