Robin Wright Cancels Broadway Debut, Reports Co-star

Robin Wright had been set to make her Broadway debut this season alongside Richard Schiff (The West Wing) in a revival of comedy Talley’s Folly, but plans seem to have changed: “Robin just had to drop out right now for personal reasons,” Schiff told us yesterday afternoon at New York Fashion Week’s first ever plus-size fashion show, hosted by OneStopPlus.com (he was there to support his wife, Lost’s Sheila Kelley: “She’s the founder of S Factor, which is the originator and creator of pole dancing and erotic movement as exercise for women. So she’s a big supporter of anything that makes women feel sexy”). All may not be lost, though. Schiff tells us he’s trying to recruit Sally Hawkins, his co-star in the upcoming Made in Dagenham (currently screening at the Toronto Film Festival), to fill the role. “Sally’s amazing,” he said. “She’s here doing a play [Mrs Warren’s Profession, opening October 3]. And I’m trying to convince her to do Talley’s Folly. I think she’d be great in it.” Developing!
