Sally Menke, Editor of Pulp Fiction, Inglourious Basterds, Dies

This is sad: Sally Menke, Quentin Tarantino’s longtime editor, was found dead early this morning in Los Angeles, having disappeared yesterday after going on a hike with her dog. Menke, who was 56, received Oscar nominations for her work on Pulp Fiction and Inglourious Basterds, and also edited Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2, Jackie Brown, and Deathproof, among other films. Watch various cast members from Inglourious Basterds saying "Hi Sally" after they flub their lines in this very sad/sweet video here. And you can watch Menke talk about Inglourious Basterds and working with Tarantino here. [L.A. NOW/LAT]
