The Hollywood Reporter Will Be a Weekly Magazine

In May, former Us Weekly editor Janice Min was hired as editorial director of The Hollywood Reporter. Next month, the biggest change of her tenure will begin, with THR transforming from a trade paper published five times a week into a weekly, glossy magazine. With the reboot, THR is trying to move away from being an inside-baseball publication: It's hoping to attract a “larger slice of the advertising market,” looking for “beauty, fashion, consumer electronics and liquor,” and not just entertainment industry, dollars. It's also intended to appeal to more than just entertainment-industry execs, but “opinion leaders, early adopters and taste makers who set consumer trends.” We cannot wait to hear what Nikki Finke has to say about this.
