The good news for the producers of Broadway’s American Idiot? Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong’s stint of eight appearances on the show was very good for business. Idiot earned $1,092,334 the week Armstrong was in the cast, up about $600,000 (!) from the previous week’s $480,000. The feat is even more impressive considering Armstrong’s appearances were announced just a few days before his debut. The bad news for Idiot, of course, is that Armstrong is now no longer in the show. [Variety]
