Justin Timberlake Doesn’t Want You to Be Pissed Off He’s an Actor

Justin Timberlake hasn’t released a record in four years, isn’t sure when he’s going to get around to making another one, and is deep in the throes of his serious actor with serious glasses phase. But there’s good news for those who will always prefer Timberlake as a musician with contact lenses! At a benefit in Vegas on Saturday for his charity, JT more or less promised, albeit with a bit of attitude, that he has not permanently forsaken music. Timberlake took to the stage to drop a few mellow F-bombs (guaranteed to make the crowd go wild!) and perform a very nice acoustic version of “Cry Me A River,” with a bit of “Ain’t No Sunshine” mixed in to good effect. Then, still on acoustic guitar, Timberlake started singing Drake’s “Over,” adding in a new verse: “Don’t be pissed off I’m an actor / It’s not over / It’s not over / It’s not over / And when I come back, I’m gonna come harder / I’m doing me.” So now at least we know to expect his next record around when he’s done “doing me.”
