Sex and the City’s Kristin Davis is attached to star in the single-camera, half-hour comedy The Happiness Project for NBC. The Peacock has ordered a pilot script of the show, which is based on Gretchen Rubin’s best-selling book of the same name (totally something Charlotte York would read). The series will be about “a woman’s year long quest to become happier,” though in this instance, the quest does not involve finding Javier Bardem in Bali, so much as methodically trying out more concrete, recommended ways to be happy — such as singing in the morning, cleaning closets, and reading Aristotle. If Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall, or SJP have any projects in the works, now might be a good time to announce them: Today is fast becoming Sex and the City 2 rebound day.
