Mel Gibson Dropped from The Hangover 2 After Cast Complained

If you guessed that Mel Gibson's cameo was the issue on the set of The Hangover 2 that had Zach Galifianakis in "deep protest," it looks like you were right. TMZ is reporting that Gibson's cameo as a Thailand tattoo artist was just cut from the film, the casualty of a near-mutiny by Hangover cast and crew. Said director Todd Phillips in a statement: "I thought Mel would have been great in the movie and I had the full backing of [Warner Bros. president] Jeff Robinov and his team. But I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew." Who wants to explain this one to Jodie Foster? [TMZ]
