Miramax Now Has a CEO

The studio turned library, which Disney sold in July for more than $600 million to Filmyard Holdings, has hired former News Corp. executive Mike Lang to fill the empty chair at the top. Lang was the executive vice-president for business development and strategy, where he played a role in the budget-busting acquisitions of Hulu and MySpace. The idea is that his digital experience will help make money off “the prestigious library, which includes such modern classics as ‘Shakespeare in Love’ and ‘Pulp Fiction.’” [Wrap]
