Industry Roundup: Ray Liotta Joining Jennifer Aniston on a Commune

Start the Romance Rumors: Ray Liotta has joined the cast of Wanderlust, the Jennifer Aniston–Paul Rudd comedy about "a city couple that ditches their life to try a more hippie existence in a commune." David Wain is directing, and Judd Apatow is producing. [HR]

Boom: Tom Vaughan will direct Boomsday, an adaptation of the Chris Buckley novel. Ron Bass and Jen Smolka wrote the script. Buckley previously wrote Thank You For Smoking. Boomsday focuses on a D.C. publicist who, on her blog, suggests senior citizens voluntarily commit suicide to solve the Social Security crisis, when a handsome politician champions her cause. The Best Revenge: ABC Family is developing a film about Constance McMillen, the Mississippi lesbian high-school student who successfully sued the local school district for discrimination after being barred from showing up at her prom with a woman. Sony Pictures TV has optioned the rights to McMillen’s story, and Ghost Whisperer creator John Gray will write the script. [Deadline]

Being Marilyn's Friends Julia Ormond will play Vivien Leigh in My Week With Marilyn, and Scott Round will play Arthur Miller in the film, which starts shooting today in London. [Deadline]
