The network, mainly known for its procedurals that critics ignore and audiences flock to at a rate significantly higher than any other channel, has put the order out on a new show by Price, the novelist who also wrote for The Wire, and De Niro. It’s called Rookies, and it will be about six freshman cops. No word yet on whether it will be gritty, critically acclaimed, and attract one-third the audience of N.C.I.S. [HR]
