The New York Public Library Acquires Maya Angelou Archive

The library’s Schomburg Center in Harlem will announce the acquisition tomorrow at a press conference with Angelou, who is 82. The 343 boxes they purchased with private money includes letters from James Baldwin and Malcolm X and her personal edits of the poem she read at Bill Clinton’s first inauguration. It’s not clear if emails will be included. [NYT]
