It was accidental, of course: The strip that ran yesterday, on Veteran’s Day, had a reference to a spider-death-commemorating day known as “National Stupid Day,” and some people thought it was Jim Davis talking sideways. Davis quickly responded, saying the strip was written a year ago and scheduled for yesterday without his knowledge.
