How’s Tim Burton’s Twitter-Written Story Going?

As part of a project related to the now-traveling retrospective exhibition of Tim Burton’s work, the director announced last week that he wants Twitter users to write his next story, which might be turned into a script for an upcoming Burton film. Burton began the story with the line, “Stainboy, using his obvious expertise, was called in to investigate mysterious glowing goo on the gallery floor,” and anyone who wants to continue the tale tweets the next sentence and adds the hashtag #BurtonStory. We feared Stainboy’s story might quickly devolve into a sordid, typo-laden mess, but it looks like people are taking the game pretty seriously so far. Last we checked, the aforementioned goo was a scary, living thing, but Stainboy had “found himself in the arms of a robot,” who’s “completely unphased” by the evil goo, and the goo had “all but given up.” Johnny Depp had better be ready to play Stainboy, but who will play the goo?
