Johnny Knoxville and friends crowed that they shot “two movies’ worth of footage” for Jackass 3D, and after that film’s sleeper success, some pundits thought Paramount might rush a sequel into theaters to capitalize on the movie’s heat. Instead, the studio is launching a novel experiment: Jackass 3.5 will be released in online installments every week beginning in March, and then spliced together as a feature-length film that will also be distributed digitally. “We also shot some additional footage in Europe specifically for 3.5. I have staples in my head right now to prove it,” said Knoxville in a statement, adding, “Woo hoo.”
