NBC Cancels Undercovers

Undercovers, the J.J. Abrams–produced action drama about two very attractive, married spies, has been canceled, after NBC opted not to pick up the series' back nine. New episodes will air in the show's usual Wednesday, 8 p.m time slot for the next three weeks, but there's no word yet on what will happen to the remaining two, already filmed episodes. Look for NBC to clear up what it will be doing with the extras when they announce a more complete mid-season schedule, which could happen as soon as next week. Undercovers, which had underwhelmed in the ratings, joins Jimmy Smits's Outlaw as the only new series that NBC did not pick up for a full season this year.
