Roman Polanski’s The Ghost Writer Nominated for Seven European Film Awards

Roman Polanski's political thriller The Ghost Writer has been nominated for seven European Film Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actor for Ewan McGregor. The other Best Film nominees are Honey, Gods and Monsters, Lebanon (which took top honors in Venice), Soul Kitchen, and Oscar-winner The Secret in their Eyes. The European Film Academy will announce the winners in Estonia on December 4. Polanski already won the Best Director award at the Berlin Film Festival for Ghost Writer in February, though he didn't pick it up in person, owing to having "ended up in jail" the last time he did that.
