Though Sandra Bullock is still negotiating to come aboard Alfonso Cuaron’s space-set drama Gravity, Robert Downey Jr. has expelled himself from the film’s orbit; Warner Bros. will recast his character, who only appears in the film for the first act. Meanwhile, Downey Jr. is circling the project How to Talk to Girls, based on the advice book by precocious 9-year-old Alec Greven. The Hollywood Reporter reports that “the project is being reconceived and developed as a Downey vehicle”; hopefully no grade schoolers will be aged up in the process. [HR]
