Oscar Publicist Ronni Chasen Buried, Reward Offered for Information Leading to Arrest of Her Murderer

Oscar publicist Ronni Chasen was buried today at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles, the burial place of Jack Benny, Shelley Winters, and Aaron Spelling, after being shot to death in her car while driving home from the premiere of Burlesque earlier this week. Among the guests at the service were Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Amy Pascal, Warner Bros.’s Sue Kroll, film critic Leonard Maltin, and astronaut Buzz Aldrin. The Hillside chapel, which holds about 250 people, was completely full, as were 300 seats set up outside the chapel where guests could watch the service on a screen. Publicist Kathie Berlin said the Palm Springs Film Festival is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Chasen’s murderer. [HR]
