There’s not a whole lot of levity in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s heavy drama Biutiful, which stars Javier Bardem as a dying father (and part-time ghost whisperer) living in the seedy underbelly of Barcelona. Still, when little bits of light do poke through, it’s usually thanks to Bardem’s sweet relationship with the children he’s struggling to provide for.
