Carey Mulligan just landed the most coveted female role in town — playing Daisy Buchanan in Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming take on The Great Gatsby — but before she gets her roaring twenties on, she’s picked up another project. According to Deadline, Mulligan has signed on for Steve McQueen’s Shame, which finds Michael Fassbender reuniting with his Hunger director as a sex-addicted New Yorker; Mulligan will play his skeptical sister.
