Clint Eastwood’s Hoover biopic continues to vacuum up stars. We hear Oscar winner Charlize Theron has resurfaced and is being offered the part of Helen Gandy, a Justice Department file clerk Hoover selected as his personal secretary at the age of 21, and who wound up working for him for over 54 years. Also, sadly, this blog just got beaten to the punch by EW's Dave Karger, who broke the exciting news that Armie Hammer — fresh off his star turn(s?) as the Winklevii in David Fincher's The Social Network — has been offered the role of J. Edgar Hoover protégé and paramour Clyde Tolson. Sometimes we wish we had a Winklevii of our own.
