Denis Dutton Dead at 66

Denis Dutton, a longtime Canterbury University philosophy professor renowned for his pioneering website Arts & Letters Daily, has died. Arts & Letters Daily, founded in 1998, was one of the earliest aggregators, pulling together, as Reason explains, "reviews, essays, studies, op-eds, and more from a vast array of sources that had suddenly become available at the click of a mouse. Only a dozen years on, it's hard to get remember the excitement that such developments brought to those of us (read: all of us) who had been starved for content in ways that we didn't even understand." Dutton was 66. [Reason]
