If you’re still clamoring for the inevitable-seeming sequel to last year’s sci-fi breakout District 9, consider this the next best thing: That film’s director, Neill Blomkamp, will reunite with star Sharlto Copley for Blomkamp’s next movie, Elysium. Deadline reports that Elysium will be set on another planet and, much like the first film, you can expect a heady mix of political commentary and aliens blowing up. There are still some important unknowns, however: Elysium isn’t yet set up at a studio (expect a major bidding war) and probably won’t feature an adorable baby alien in a red jacket, which is kind of a debit, if you ask us.
