Jay-Z Was on Charlie Rose Last Night

The interview was actually taped at a public event at the Brooklyn Museum during the week of Decoded's release, but only aired yesterday. As you may recall, Jay-Z was doing a whole grip of interviews about the book at the time, and it sort of feels like the need to come up with newly amusing or enlightening answers to the same questions he's been over and over again the past few days (including at a very similar event at the New York Public Library) is wearing him down. It's still worth your time, though, for at least these three reasons: Jay-Z is wearing one of those elbow-patch professor jackets; a chyron pops up on the screen identifying him as “author”; and at one point Charlie Rose says the phrase, “You wouldn't be sitting in that chair if you didn't love to rhyme.”
