Netflix Willing to Pay $100,000 for Each Episode of a Hit Show

How much is a day-old episode of Glee worth to Netflix? According to the New York Post, quite a bit: In a bid to aggressively expand its instant-watching content and surpass competitors like Hulu, the service is offering to pay anywhere from $70,000 to $100,000 per episode of current hit shows. Netflix already made a similar deal for new Saturday Night Live episodes, but networks have started to become wary that they may be ceding too much rerun power to another entity, instead of realizing that when someone offers you upwards of six figures just to stream 22 minutes of Outsourced, you take it.
