The always engaging David O. Russell, director of Oscar hopeful The Fighter, shared a few anecdotes with Vulture at the movie’s New York screening. Specifically, about rehearsing scenes with Amy Adams in the aisles of Whole Foods. “We would go to the Whole Foods in Andover at like eleven o’clock at night,” Russell told us. “And I’d say, ‘What have you rehearsed for this scene tomorrow? Let me show you how I think it should go down.’ We’re standing in the cereal aisle of Whole Foods, we were choreographing how I wanted it. I think people were amused.
