Record-Breaking Number of People Watched Last Night’s The Walking Dead

Six million people watched last night’s Walking Dead finale, the most of the season. Four million of those people were between the ages of 18 and 49, putting the series’ average number of viewers in the demo at 3.5 million, the most in basic-cable history. With these kind of numbers, AMC and Frank Darabont are again to be commended for firing the writing staff — most networks/creators wouldn’t be down to break what’s not broken (ratings-wise, anyway). But then again, these are the people who like to break a zombie lady’s face, like so, so we already knew they were special.
