getting the band back together

ABBA Teases Fans With Talk of a Reunion

In an interview with British magazine M last week, ABBA singer Agnetha Faltskog ruled out reuniting the band for a full-fledged tour “like the Rolling Stones and other old bands do now,” but said, “I could see us doing something together in the future.” Hmmm. A new song? A one-night-only greatest-hits show? The comment follows band member Anni-Frid Lyngstad’s recent remark, “It would be great to do something” with her former bandmates, but “it could never be low-key” because of the group’s fame. A secret surprise show, then? Or maybe nothing at all: ABBA’s Bjorn Ulvaeus once said, “We will never appear on stage again, because we would like people to remember us as we were: young, exuberant, full of energy and ambition.” And it’s hard to argue with that.
