At right, please have your first look at Andrew Garfield in his Spidey suit. As has been proven, no one looks superheroic in polyester, so the new costume sidesteps this problematic material in favor of another unbreathable fabric of a far scalier weave. The suit has a much grittier, textured, less CGI-ed appearance than Tobey Maguire’s version of the same, plus a spider logo so abstract it almost looks like a Chinese tattoo.
