America’s favorite vaguely unsettling weight-loss show about improving people’s self-esteem by telling them they’re fat is back tonight for an eleventh season! True, the show helped pave the way for more humane depictions of obesity on television (funny or not, Mike and Molly is certainly a step up from Babes), but do you really want more of it? The show spent its summer vacation getting assailed by labor unions and former contestants, and this year will face competition from A&E’s Heavy.
