Anthony Hopkins Beats Jason Statham at the Box Office

The Rite, the supernatural thriller starring Anthony Hopkins, took the box office this weekend, earning an estimated $15 million. People mainly liked it, too: CinemaScore was a "B." Next up was last weekend's victor, romantic comedy No Strings Attached, which took in another $13.6 million, bumping the film's cumulative gross to nearly $40 million. In third place, The Green Hornet 3D earned $11.5 million, bumping its total earnings to $78.8 million. The Mechanic, with action figure Jason Statham, took fourth, earning $11.5 million during its opening weekend. And The King's Speech, critical darling, took fifth place, earning $11.1 million, bumping its total earnings to $72.2.
