Eminem and Katy Perry Were the Best-Selling Artists of 2010

Beating out Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and Ke$ha, Eminem's Recovery has been confirmed by Nielsen SoundScan as the best-selling album of 2010, with 3.42 million copies sold since its release in June — the best figures for any album since Josh Groban's Noel in 2007. Katy Perry's album Teenage Dream didn't break the top ten, but her song "California Gurls" wins the title of most popular song of the year, with 4.4 million downloads. [Billboard]
