Ethan Hawke Heads to the Small Screen

Fox has handed a pilot order to Exit Strategy, written by former Us Weekly scribe David Guggenheim, directed by Training Day's Antoine Fuqua, and officially starring Ethan Hawke. Envisioned as a potential successor to 24, the "high-octane" show will tackle a different crisis in a different country every episode and run in real time. Hawke will play an irresistible coffeehouse guitarist. No, just kidding. He'll play Eric Shaw, an ass-kicking team leader plucking CIA agents out of harm's way. [HR, Deadline]
