Meat Loaf to Serenade Relatively Small Crowd

To file under things you did not know you were excited about: Meat Loaf, who has been lighting up casinos and other such midsize venue since this past summer on his Hang Cool tour, will be bringing his act to the relatively small Irving Plaza on February 23. The Loaf is performing in support of his awfulsomely named album Hang Cool Teddy Bear, but concertgoers can expect to hear the classics. We are getting chills just thinking about an audience 1,200 strong raising their voices to sing “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That).” [Sound of the City/VV]
