Remember when we told you that Fox was scrapping plans to do some Glee reality specials because creator Ryan Murphy wanted to focus on the real thing? Then came news that the Glee casting show would go forward, but on Oxygen and without Murphy. Well, today, Oxygen has announced that Murphy would be connected to The Glee Project after all: He and fellow Glee exec producer Dante Di Loreto have agreed to serve as exec producers of the Oxygen series, debuting in June. This is probably good news, since Murphy is something of a perfectionist, and it's unlikely he'd associate himself with the reality show if he didn't think it at least somewhat lived up to his Glee standards. Despite all the on-again, off-again regarding Murphy's involvement, Di Loreto said it was inevitable RM would sign on: "You're never going to see the name Glee and not know that Ryan's involved," he said. Meanwhile, mark your calendars, Gleeks: Glee repeats from seasons one and two make
their Oxygen debut the weekend of February 5.
