Will Ferrell to Do Four Episodes of The Office

He’s not going to replace Steve Carell on The Office, but he’s going to help him ease out: Will Ferrell has signed on to The Office for a handful of episodes this season. He’ll play a branch manager from the home office “just as inappropriate as Steve Carell’s Michael Scott character,” and he’ll be on episodes both before and after Carell exits.

Executive producer Paul Lieberstein (aka Toby) said “We found Steve Carell when he was nothing but a movie star and we turned him into a television star. We are proud to continue The Office’s tradition of discovering famous talent, and we hope that once America gets a good look at Will, they’ll see what we see, tremendous raw sexuality.”
