Wonder Woman Lives!

NBC has picked up David E. Kelley's Wonder Woman to pilot, after initially passing on the project due to executive reshuffling. Kelley recently told Vulture he was optimistic about the project, and he previously noted that NBC would be a good home for it: "I like to think of it as a smart script and I know [new NBC programming chief Bob Greenblatt] responds to smart material," he said. (Yesterday, NBC also picked up a lesbian sitcom and a musical, developments believed to be influenced by Greenblatt as well.) Kelley said his Wonder Woman will be "a real complex woman and not just a superhero." She might even wear pants. [Deadline, HR]
