Remember how a casting breakdown for The Office had the show looking for “a woman described as ‘Scranton hot’” to play a new office manager? Well, I guess this is what they meant by “Scranton hot”: they’ve just hired model-turned-actress Cody Horn, from Rescue Me. Maybe I didn’t fully understand what they meant, never having been to Scranton, and it’s actually full of models? Or perhaps the term just meant “hotter than anyone who actually lives in Scranton.”
In any case, there’s nothing wrong with pretty people being on TV! I just love that term, Scranton hot. It makes me feel bad about myself and I don’t even know why. As for who she’ll play, “not much is known about Horn’s character, except that she’ll be a pleasant and smart addition to Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch.” Look for her, as well as a handful of other new people, next season.
