Tupac’s Mom Finally Agrees to Let the Tupac Biopic Happen

As Vulture told you last summer, the Antoine Fuqua–directed, Stephen J. Rivele and Chris Wilkinson–scripted, "not in any way biopic-y" Tupac biopic was well on its way toward shooting. The thing is, production company Morgan Creek and Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur-Davis, were still duking it out in the courts over the rights to the story. That is, now, a thing of the past: Reuters reports that Shakur-Davis sat down with Fuqua and "agreed with his vision of the film"; in return, she'll get "an undisclosed flat fee, a chunk of any profits and an executive producer credit." And the casting of 'Pac begins now. [Reuters via RS]
