Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris, which stars Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, and Marion Cotillard (and features the infamous Carla Bruni-Sarkozy cameo), will open the Cannes Film Festival on May 11. The movie is a romantic comedy about a family traveling to Paris. Though opening the festival is an honor, lesser Woody Allen films have played there before (see, just this past year, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger). That said, Midnight in Paris sounds pretty aggressively titled to us.
