Ex–Alice in Chains bassist and Celebrity Rehab alum Mike Starr was found dead on Tuesday afternoon. He was 44. A founding member of the Seattle grunge band, Starr had battled drug addiction for more than half his life, and admitted on Rehab that he actually dropped out of the band in 1993 because of his drug problem. In 2009, he appeared on Celebrity Rehab and its follow-up show, Sober House, to deal with a longtime heroin addiction. And last year, he returned to Celebrity Rehab to celebrate six months of sobriety. But in February, Starr was arrested in Salt Lake City, Utah, and found with painkillers in his possession. The cause of death is still unknown.
