Here’s a trailer for Happy Endings, the new mid-season series ABC is debuting after Modern Family on April 13th. Starring Elisha Cuthbert, Casey Wilson, Damon Wayans, Jr. (sticking to the family business), and Adam Pally, amongst others, it’s about a couple who breaks up at the altar and then deals with sticking with the same group of friends afterwards. The premise is preeeeetty sitcomy, as no one who has been dumped at the altar would ever continue hanging out with the person who did the dumping, and only in a sitcom world do six people only have each other as friends, but this trailer makes it look pretty promising despite that. And hell, with a lead-in like Modern Family, it should have a good chance to get on its feet before being subject to the Perfect Couples treatment. I am cautiously optimistic!
