David Lynch Will Direct Duran Duran Concert Film

When last we checked in on the unusual collaborations American Express has put together for its series of live-streamed concerts, Terry Gilliam had been signed to direct a webcast of an Arcade Fire concert, despite having no idea "what this fucking thing is." Perhaps the next high-profile installment will go a bit better: It was announced today that David Lynch will direct a Duran Duran webcast on March 23. "The idea is to try and create, on the fly, layers of images permeating Duran Duran on stage, a world of experimentation and hopefully some happy accidents," Lynch said in a statement. Hopefully, the eighties dream-team matchup will give the director a jolt of inspiration, as he hasn't made a feature film since 2006. [Billboard]
