Disney Suspends Operations at Its Tokyo Offices

Disney announced on Thursday that it has shut down its operations in Tokyo in order to protect its employees in the aftermath of last week's devastating earthquake and tsunami. "Our top priority is the well-being of our employees and their families during this challenging time and we will continue to closely monitor the situation as it develops," the company said in a statement. The shutdown of the studio coincides with the sudden departure of director Darren Aronofsky from the film Wolverine, which was about to begin filming in Japan. All of the company's theme parks have been shut down since last Friday's earthquake, as well. But what will Mickey do? [LAT]
