Farley Granger Dies at 85

Actor Farley Granger — who had starred in films for Alfred Hitchock, Luchino Visconti, Anthony Mann, and Nicholas Ray before he even turned 30 — died Sunday of natural causes at age 85. The handsome actor was perhaps most famous for his two Hitchcock films, Strangers on a Train and Rope, and in his personal life, he was a cheerful independent who became romantically involved with Hollywood luminaries like Leonard Bernstein, Arthur Laurents, Shelley Winters, and Ava Gardner.
