The NBA has confirmed reports that it is investigating Jay-Z’s visit to the Kentucky Wildcats’ locker room on Sunday. The rule is that no NBA team personnel (Jay is part-owner of the New Jersey Nets) is allowed to have contact with players who are not yet draft eligible. As has been pointed out, Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge was fined $30,000 for a similar incident in 2007. This is, to our knowledge, the first time Ainge and Jay-Z have been mentioned together since Danny hopped on that awesome “Pop 4 Roc” remix. [ESPN]
